We are accepting in-kind donation drop-offs!
Thank you so much for thinking of our guests at the Pope Francis Center! Without your generosity, our work would not be possible. Please read these instructions carefully before donating items to us.
Step 1: What are you donating?
Be thoughtful about what you donate to us. Here are some questions to consider:
- Will this be practical for our guests?
- Will this fit our guests? Most of our guests are men and most wear sizes large, XL, and XXL.
- Is it worn out, stained, ripped, or otherwise not in good shape?
- Would you want to wear or use this item? If the answer is no, our guests won't want it either.
Here are some items that we do not accept:
- Used underwear or socks
- Dress clothing (suits, sport coats, dress pants, button downs, high heels, etc.)
- Children's and small-sized clothing
- Food
- Hand-knit hats and scarves
When you've decided on the items you want to donate, please do a few easy things to help our staff:
- Wash and fold all clothing items
- Sort any hygiene items (We no longer give out pre-packed hygiene kits. We like to let our guests choose what they need!)
- We prefer when items are packed into a box. They are easier for us to store that way!
- Put your name on the outside of the box or bag.
Step 2: Appointments are not currently needed
There's no need to make an appointment, just show up! Please make sure to only drop off donations during the following donation hours:
Monday: 11:00 am - 1:30 pm
Tuesday: 12:00pm - 1:30 pm
Wednesday: 11:00 am - 1:30 pm
Thursday: 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Friday: 11:00 am - 1:30 pm
If you are unable to drop off donations during our donation hours, please contact Maggie at maggie@popefranciscenter.org to arrange another time.
Step 3: Drop off in-kind donations
Donations should be dropped off at the Center, located at 438 St. Antoine during donation hours. When you arrive, pull your car around the corner onto Larned Street. Ring the buzzer on our back door and a staff member will greet you to accept your donations.
